Computer delivered IELTS was introduced by IDP three years ago. Candidates can appear for the IELTS exam by option either of the modes; Computer-Based Test (CBT) or Paper-Based Test (PBT). The test format for both of the options in IELTS test remains same. The IELTS score on Computer-Based Test is received by the candidates within 3-5 business days. The speaking test in Computer-Based test is carried out on a face-to-face interview conducted online. The speaking test in both the test formats can be completed up to one week after or prior to the other tests. The IELTS exam pattern and the duration is same as PBT when compared to CBT.
